The Law Offices of John R. Dietrick, P.A. wants DietrickLaw.com to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.

Our Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

What We Have Done

  • Organized each page with a clear heading order and page landmarks so assistive technology can move through it easily.
  • Provided text alternatives for meaningful images, and hidden purely decorative images from screen readers.
  • Checked text and background color combinations against WCAG contrast requirements.
  • Made links, buttons, menus, and form fields usable with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Labeled every contact form field and written plain-language error messages.
  • Included a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
  • Tested the Website with automated accessibility tools and manual review.

Third-Party Content

Some features rely on outside services, such as Google Maps for directions and spam protection on our contact forms. We do not control the accessibility of those services. If you have trouble with any of them, please call us and we will be glad to help directly.

An Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the Website as content changes and address issues as we find them.
